Introduction to SVC

Silicon Valley Chorus (SVC) is a non-profit organization established in May of 2000 by a group of Chinese vocal music and performing art lovers. The group consists primarily of individuals who have professional background and reside in the Silicon Valley. Our objectives are to learn the fundamentals of choral appreciation, to enrich our social lives, and to strengthen friendship among the members. We like to celebrate our ethnicity and culture, and serve our community by supporting Chinese communal cultural activities.

Presently, choral singing is our main activity with an extension to embrace other types of performing arts that are also of interest and fun to our members and community. Our performances are diversified with choral singing, solo singing, group singing, all kinds of genre in dancing and Chinese orchestra, etc.

Singing practice occurs on Sunday afternoons while other practices vary upon availability. SVC also sponsors musical appreciation seminars, vocal music workshops, which would establish a platform to allow senior artists from China guiding SVC members in artistic activities. New members are welcome to join our SVC family where you’ll enjoy making music and new friends.
